How it works

3. TAP the tag again → files transfer automatically via Bluetooth

Requirements

Phone (Android)

• Android 8.0+
• NFC enabled
• Bluetooth enabled
• Paired with your laptop

Laptop (Windows)

• Windows 10/11
• Bluetooth enabled

Hardware

• NTAG213 NFC tag (one is enough)
• NFC Tools app (free on Play Store) to write the tag

Setup

Step 1 — Write your NFC tag

1. Find your laptop's Bluetooth MAC address:

   • Open cmd → type getmac /v
   • Look for the Bluetooth adapter row
   • Note the address (format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX)

2. Open NFC Tools on your phone

3. Write → Add record → Text

4. Type your MAC address with colons: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

5. Write to your NTAG213 tag

Step 2 — Install the Android app

1. Open the project in Android Studio Panda 2+
2. Add your hitchcut_regular.ttf font to app/src/main/res/font/
3. Build and run on your Android device

Step 3 — Pair devices

Make sure your phone and laptop are paired via Bluetooth before first use.
