No jargon, no tricks. Here is exactly what we do with your data on Olii-8882.

The short version

We collect the minimum we need to run the community, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.

What we collect

  • What you give us — your username, email, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and anything you add to your profile (bio, links, avatar, skills).
  • What you publish — Hub posts, Archive entries, comments and messages.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser and basic device info, plus aggregate analytics, used to run and secure the platform.

How we use it

  • To operate the platform: accounts, publishing, messaging, notifications.
  • To keep it safe: moderation, spam and abuse prevention.
  • To improve it: understanding what works through aggregate analytics.

We do not sell your personal data, and we don't run third-party ad tracking.

Content visibility

Anything you publish to the Hub or Archives is public by design. Your profile is public. Private messages stay between participants (admins may access them only when investigating abuse or a report).

Archives & torrents

The Archives are a metadata index only — titles, descriptions and magnet/links. We host no files. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to share what you reference.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, plus lightweight analytics. You can clear or block cookies from your browser, but logging in needs the session cookie.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent. Email us and we'll act within a reasonable time. Olii-8882 is intended for people 13 and older.

Changes

We may update this policy as the platform grows. Material changes will be announced on the site.
